BLAST Open Fall 2026 begins on 26 August and consists of a group stage followed by the playoffs. The Grand Final decides the champions and will take place on 6 September.
The group stage takes place at BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark, while the final six teams compete at the Super Bock Arena in Porto, Portugal from 4 to 6 September.
The event has a $1.1 million prize pool, with $150,000 awarded to the tournament winner.
BLAST Premier Open combines VRS invitations with regional qualifiers. 12 teams enter through the Valve Regional Standings, while the remaining 4 qualify through regional events in North American, European, South American and Asian qualifiers.
Bounty, Open and Rivals are the 3 event categories in the BLAST Premier 2026 circuit. The Open combines VRS invitations with regional qualification, which gives teams outside the highest-ranked group a route into the event.
How the group stage and playoffs work
The 16 teams taking part in BLAST Open Fall 2026 are split into 2 groups of 8 teams. These groups follow a double-elimination format, with matches played to the best-of-three series. The group stage winners automatically advance to the semifinals of the playoffs. Meanwhile, the runners-up enter the quarterfinals as the high seeds, and the low seeds are the group stage 3rd-place teams.
The BLAST Open Fall 2026 playoffs follow a single-elimination bracket. The quarterfinals and semifinals are played to the best of 3 games, while the Grand Final is a best-of-5 series.

This is a standard moneyline bet on the winner of the match. BLAST Open uses best-of-three series throughout the group stage, semifinals and quarterfinals, with the Grand Final played as a best-of-five.
Map handicap
You can also bet on either team with a map handicap applied. For example, a -1.5 handicap requires the chosen team to win a best-of-three series 2-0.
Total maps
The total maps market allows you to predict how many maps will be played in the match. Choose over/under depending on whether you think the match will be contested over more than 2 maps.
Map winner - threeway
You can also bet on the outcome of individual maps, for example, picking a team to win map 1. The threeway option lets you pick from three possible outcomes. You can choose either team, or bet on a draw. If the score reaches 12-12 on a map, it counts as a draw, and the match goes to overtime.
Pistol round winner
The first round of each half is known as the pistol round, where teams are limited to using only pistols. At Stake, you’re able to bet on the pistol round winner for each map.
